I suggest that when you grade your rough material , wet the Rough First and inspect it using a light Behind the Material. Good Material Looks Good and Clear. Opaque Materials need to be Free of Cracks and Porosity for best results.
Starting wioth Good Looking Material is the best way to achieve Good Looking Results.
